Britannica Kids: Rainforests

This Encyclopedia of Rainforests has lots of  information in a more traditional encyclopedic form, and is good for ages 4-adult.  It is made more interesting by the lovely images, plus a few basic games (a matching game and a puzzle).  Nothing reinforces learning, but your reader can certainly gain a lot of new knowledge. The images alone are enough to captivate the non-reader.  This app’s educational value is much higher for a confident reader.  This is a good app for quiet time – sounds are not needed.  The games are simple and provide spacial relationship and memory exercises (not knowledge acquisition or practice).   Like this app?
