Rocket Math

The Rocket Math app is lots of fun.  Your kids will likely be eager to do the math just to be able to earn money to buy rocket boosters and accessories.  You decide a mission, do math to earn money to buy accessories for your rocket, and then launch it.  There is a good creative aspect to it.  Basically your kids will be forced to do math problems because they love creating and launching rockets.  You can choose the math level – easy, med, hard (hard is akin to 11×12 or 234/13), and the equation type – addition, sub, mult, division.  A built-in scribble pad is handy to work out the larger equations.

Skills:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, money, basic physics
Cost:  $.99
Platform:  iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Grade(s): 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade

  1. My son just loves this. He plays with it at school if he gets his work done. Since he talks about it so much I decided that it would be good to have for him to use all the time. Anything to help him learn is awesome!
