Math Evolve

Math Evolve is a really nicely designed app that will definitely make your kids happy to practice math.  It does a great job of blending “gaming” with education.  So much so that this should be your go-to app for those kids who love video games, but really should be spending their time doing math.  And it won’t be a hard sell.  You can easily customize the math (by level and operation) and there is a good practice level, which is engaging too.  We appreciate the nice graphics, the many options to customize math levels, that it is easy to turn down the music, that you can easily pause the game, and the good performance statistics.   While this isn’t a teaching app, and doesn’t dig deeper into number sense, we still recommend using it in the classroom simply to develop greater (and quicker) equation solving skills.  Try it out for free – and then make sure to upgrade to the full version.  Oh, and the name is due to the fact that when you answer correctly you earn points in order to evolve into a more sophisticated creature.
